Alga SEZ will become powerful driver for Ishimbay development and whole republic: Radiy Khabirov

Created by order of the Government of Russia, the Alga special economic zone (SEZ) will become a powerful driver for the development of Bashkiria. It was announced by the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov following his working trip to Ishimbay.

“The new management team of the Ishimbaysky district is actively working, and we are satisfied with their activity. The city of Ishimbay is rapidly growing, the SEZ will become another impetus for its development, ” said Radiy Khabirov.

The Head of the Republic instructed the Government RB to begin preparatory and pre-project work to create all the necessary infrastructure for investors, as well as to work out new regional tools to support projects.

The total area of SEZ ​​plots is 470 hectares. Of these, more than half is already reserved for projects. The total amount of investments in infrastructure exceeds 6.3 billion rubles until 2025, including budget expenditures estimated at 3.3 billion rubles. A special working group will supervise the SEZ issues development.

Nine residents have confirmed their intentions to implement projects in the SEZ “Alga” territory and will create 2,300 jobs in the region. These are enterprises in the field of petrochemistry, instrument-making microelectronics, and the food industry. The volume of declared investments is 26 billion rubles. Negotiations are underway with nine more investors on the implementation of projects worth 40 billion rubles.
