Special economic zone created in Bashkiria is in demand by investors - Khabirov

The “Alga” Special Economic Zone being created in Bashkortostan is in demand by investors, and there is great interest from among the residents. The right choice of location for the future SEZ contributed to it, since there is a large industrial cluster. This was announced on Tuesday by the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov, at a meeting chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, Yuri Trutnev, dedicated to the creation of special economic zones in the regions.
According to the forecast, by 2029, 17 residents will locate their production facilities at the Alga SEZ, which will invest 26 billion rubles and create about 2 thousand jobs. At the moment, an agreement of intent has already been signed with seven anchor investors.
“Another 11 investment projects totaling more than 40 billion rubles are under development,” said Radiy Khabirov at the meeting. “This issue is of strategic importance to the republic. Bashkortostan meets all the requirements that are taken into account when creating a special economic zone. ”
According to the Federal State Statistics Service, last year, investments in the region grew by almost 14%, exceeding 322 billion rubles. In the first quarter of 2020, this figure increased by 18%.
The total area of the planned Alga SEZ is about 470 hectares, of which 270 hectares are already occupied by residents.
Almost 470 hectares are four production sites in two sections. Such an arrangement will make it possible to locate enterprises according to the cluster type, taking into account industry affiliation, the similarity of technologies, and raw material base.
All territories are selected taking into account the requirements of environmental and sanitary-epidemiological conditions, developed road transport infrastructure. The territory borders with federal roads; there is a railway connection. It provides convenient logistics with neighboring regions and foreign countries.
The total cost of creating the necessary infrastructure will amount to 6.33 billion rubles. All work will be carried out at the expense of the regional budget within the framework of the republican targeted investment program.
It is expected that over ten years, budgets of all levels will receive almost 70 billion rubles of tax deductions. At the same time, the maximum amount of state support in the form of tax benefits will amount to 14.5 billion rubles.
The meeting participants supported Radiy Khabirov’s proposal to resolve emerging issues jointly.
