Preparations for 47th Apimondia Congress are continuing in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, preparations are continuing for the 47th Congress of the Apimondia International Federation of Beekeeping Associations and the ApiExpo exhibition. Recall that they should be held in the territory of the republic in 2021. In a video conference format at a meeting of the Executive Committee of Apimondia, working issues on the preparation for the world forum were discussed.

The leadership of the Federation of Beekeepers noted the importance of providing maximum assistance from Russia on visa and customs issues, promoting the Apimondia Congress in the country and abroad to attract the maximum number of participants.

Particular attention was paid to the issue of registration fees for Russian beekeepers. The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan, Ilshat Tazhitdinov, proposed to the leadership of Apimondia to consider the possibility of establishing preferential participation fees for beekeepers from Russia. The leadership of Apimondia preliminary supported this proposal, and in the near future, the Russian side will send an official request to Apimondia.

The next meeting of the executive committee is scheduled for June 6, where it is planned to discuss the preparation of the scientific program of the upcoming congress, which is due to be held in Ufa in September 2021.

As part of Apimondia, beekeepers from around the world will be able to visit the Bashkir Research Center for Beekeeping and Apitherapy, the educational apiary of the agricultural university in the village of Yagodnaya Polyana, the honey village in Iglinsky district, the pedigree apiary in Arkhangelsky, Chishminsky and Ishimbay districts, the “Shulgan-Tash” nature reserve, and the “Bashkiria” national park.
