54 thousand small businesses are expected to provide anti-crisis support in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, 26 thousand small businesses are expected to receive anti-crisis support, First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Nazarov said at a government briefing session. The Cabinet of Ministers prepared the second package of state support measures in the amount of 15 billion rubles. The first package of a similar volume is backed up by the legislative framework and is already in force; currently, 14,000 SMEs have taken advantage of its measures.
The second package was introduced in early May. It includes 38 measures to support small businesses and the real economy.
It is estimated that 54,000 SMEs will be able to receive assistance.
The list of SMEs affected by the crisis has been expanded from 16 to 24 and covers about 26 thousand companies.
The second package extends the tax rate reduction to 27 types of activities, 54 thousand organizations will be able to use these measures.
The patent system tax is halved (+6 thousand SMEs), and property tax on property accrued at the cadastral value is also halved.
A deferral will be introduced until next year under lease agreements on state property to reduce current expenses. "Municipalities are encouraged to support this initiative, as well as to reduce the property tax of individuals to 1% to equalize self-employed with legal entities," said the First Deputy Prime Minister.
Andrei Nazarov announced the restart of the republican leasing program for small and medium-sized businesses. Loans will be issued at 4% per annum for the purchase of equipment manufactured in the republic.
The specified support measures also apply to non-profits working in the field of social services: it is expected to cover 4.5 thousand organizations with support.
According to the State Committee for Entrepreneurship, at the beginning of March 2020, there were 127.6 thousand small and medium enterprises in the republic. Of these, 304 - medium, 48.7 thousand - micro, 4 thousand - small, 74.5 thousand – self-employed. Economists believe that a third of the country's small business will not survive the crisis.
