Bashkir timber industry is reviving due to new investor

In Bashkiria, a financial recovery plan has been adopted for the enterprises of the "Bashlesprom" group of companies associated with a new investor coming to the industry. This was discussed at the "Industrial Hour" session, which was held today, May 13, by the Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov.

The recovery plan is being implemented with the support of the government of the republic. According to it, the investor, represented by the "Uralsky Les" company, is obliged to restore production at the Ufa plywood and Ufa plywood-board plants, as well as at the production site in Beloretsk; pay off debts to creditors and take the timber industry enterprises to a new level of development.

The founder of "Uralsky Les" LLC, a well-known Russian businessman Vadim Sagiyainen, took part in the work of the session via videoconferencing from Moscow.

According to him, highly qualified personnel have been retained, new jobs have been, rehabilitation measures have been taken to restore the production of plywood and board products. The amount of actual investments has already amounted to 650 million rubles, by the end of May it is planned to make additional investments in the amount of 350 million rubles. The rehabilitation plan provides for the modernization of enterprises, the acquisition of new logging complexes, and the preservation of forest nurseries of the plants.

The Ministry of Industry RB noted that until 2030, it is planned to attract investments in the amount of 62.5 billion rubles, which will create more than 2 thousand new jobs and increase tax deductions to all budget levels.
