“Steklonit” shareholders will unite their production facilities in Ufa - Radiy Khabirov

On May 11, the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, during a working trip to Ufa, visited the site of “Steklonit” OJSC, which is implementing a large-scale investment project to upgrade its facilities. The Ufa textile fiberglass plant, established in 1961, became a primary location for the company. Today, the company, which is part of the “Ruscomposite Group of Companies, is engaged in the production of fiberglass and its products, as well as geosynthetic materials used in hydraulic engineering and road construction, the oil and gas industry, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, housing and utility services, and other fields. Since 2019, “Steklonit” has been implementing an investment program to modernize the production facilities. The total investment will amount to 600 million rubles. It is planned that the plant will completely upgrade its capacity in 2 years. Note that last year the company completed the project to relocate one of the production sites from Tver to Ufa.

During the visit, the Head of Bashkortostan got acquainted with the technology of manufacturing products, samples of manufactured products, and also held a workshop on the development of the enterprise with the participation of Dmitry Sapronov, general director of the Ruscomposite holding management company.

The Head of the Republic noted the high potential for the use of materials and products in the road industry of Bashkortostan. “It is absolutely clear that the products of our factories, including those working in foreign markets, should be more actively promoted in the republic,” Radiy Khabirov emphasized.
