Karlaman condensed milk is planned to be brought to markets of Asia and Arab countries in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, the Karlamansky milk-canning factory plans to expand production. The development concept of the enterprise, which is the only producer of condensed milk in the republic, was examined at an “Investment Hour” session in the Government RB.

It is supposed to expand production in several directions at once. A sterilization line will be installed, the production of cans will be launched, and a dairy farm for 1,200 cows will be created.

The investment project implementation will increase the volume of processing of raw materials up to 150 tons per day, expand the range of products. The total investment is 953 million rubles.

Mastering the production of concentrated sugar-free milk will allow entering the markets of Asia and Arab countries, said Alexander Kulimbetov, director of the plant. At the moment, only one plant in Russia is engaged in the manufacture of such products.

Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture RB Ilshat Fazrakhmanov focused on the legal protection of the Karlaman brand. The Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, proposed creating a separate structure that could deal with issues of this kind.

Following the meeting, the investment project was instructed to finalize to include it in the priority list.
