Investment Council discussed effectiveness of anti-crisis business support in Ufa

On April 27, a meeting of the Bashkir Investment Council was held in Ufa in the Toratau Congress Hall, attended by the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov and the general director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects Svetlana Chupsheva.
Radiy Khabirov noted that in the region projects totaling more than 80 billion rubles were prepared for implementation.
According to entrepreneurs and experts, Bashkiria created one of the most effective packages of support measures, estimated Svetlana Chupsheva, who had visited the Situation Center.
“According to a survey of 4 thousand entrepreneurs, 80% observe enormous reductions in revenue, of which 30% have already reported a decline in revenues by 80% or more. 10% of respondents made redundant their employees. 30% sent employees on paid or unpaid leave”, said the head of ASI.
The regional leadership intends to allocate about 30 billion rubles to support the business. Now the government is preparing a second package of measures.
58 measures of the first package are already in force, said First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Nazarov. In developing these measures, consultations were held with business associations, industry associations, banking institutions, resource supply organizations, and key enterprises of the republic; the existing federal, regional, and municipal practices were analyzed.
Now more than 12 thousand small business entities in the republic are exempt from paying corporate property tax. The personal property tax has been canceled for individual entrepreneurs. Microfinance organizations and the Guarantee Fund have been capitalized. A regional factoring company is created to redeem the debts of large companies to SMEs.
The republic has expanded the list of backbone enterprises that make the main contribution to the economy (from 246 to 431). In agriculture, support is provided in the form of subsidies for the purchase of machinery and equipment to exclude the loss of agricultural products during sowing and harvesting, to purchase fertilizers and breeding stock.
