Putin instructed to approve 6.5% preferential mortgages program by May 1

Russian President Vladimir Putin entrusted the Government with approving a program of preferential mortgages at 6.5% per annum by May 1, «Izvestia» reports.

Under this program, until November 1, 2020, the regions will provide mortgages at a reduced rate for the purchase of primary housing in the amount of up to 3 million rubles.

In Moscow, St. Petersburg, as well as the Moscow and Leningrad regions, the amount of the mortgage loan was increased to 8 million rubles.

Besides, Vladimir Putin instructed by May 20 to work out the issue of including construction in the list of industries most affected by the coronavirus.

The President of Russia also requested by May 1 to provide the Dom.RF state guarantees in the amount of 50 billion rubles for the purchase of standard housing for developers.
