River fleet plans to transport million tons of oil products from Ufa refineries this year

In the navigation of 2020, the “BashVolgotanker” company plans to transport up to 1 million tons of oil products from the Ufa refineries. Water transport is one of the cheapest at cost, which makes it very profitable for the delivery of large volumes of non-urgent cargo.

Oil products are dispatched from Ufa by water since April 10. At the special berths of the Ufa refineries, they are loaded into barges, which follow down the Belaya River to the Nagaevsky raid-transshipment complex. There, cargo is transported to tankers or large-capacity barges for transportation in two export directions. The first is north to the port of St. Petersburg on the Baltic Sea, the second to the south - to the port of Caucasus in the Kerch Strait. From seaports, petroleum products are exported abroad. For the transportation of oil cargo, the operator company employs about 100 vessels of the tanker and barge towing fleet. The total volume of oil transportation this year will be up to 1.7 million tons, which corresponds to the level of last year.
