UMMC-Holding and BSC allocated 2.5 million rubles for combatting COVID-19 in Bashkiria

Large industrial enterprises support Bashkortostan to combat COVID-19. In particular, UMMC-Holding provided financial assistance, the company’s press service informs. Besides, the Bashkir Soda Company (BSC) joined the campaign to prevent the infection spread.

“The administration of the Khaibullinsky district of Bashkortostan addressed to the General Director of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company Andrei Kozitsyn with a request to allocate funds to counter the spread of coronavirus infection and render targeted assistance to families who are currently in difficult situations, to make disinfection of settlements and to prevent violations of the functioning of the life support systems of the district population. By decision of the General Director, UMMC-Holding allocated 1 million rubles to the budget of the Khaibullinsky district to fight COVID-19,” the UMMC-Holding specified.

BSC provided over 1.5 million rubles of financial assistance to Sterlitamak city hospitals. This is the cost of materials, suits, etc., the company specified.

“BSC takes an active part in organizing a hospital for patients with suspected coronavirus in City Clinical Hospital-2. The company purchased construction and finishing materials, inventory, medical diagnostic equipment, disinfecting air recirculation devices, and boxes were made. Freight transport was provided for the needs of a medical facility. BSC also sent several tons of its products - sodium hypochlorite - to prepare a solution used in the disinfection of Sterlitamak roads and sidewalks”, the company said.
