Vladimir Putin announced new decisions on supporting business during coronavirus

Reduced social payments for small and medium-sized businesses in Russia from 30 to 15% will be long-term. It was announced at a meeting on the coronavirus spread with regional leaders by President Vladimir Putin.
“We agreed that in each subject of the Federation, a regional list of enterprises that play an important, systemic role for the economy of the subjects would be formed. Once again, I appeal to the heads of regions to delve into the problems of each enterprise, to help ensure their sustainability, preserve employment, and seek targeted solutions,” the head of state marked.
In addition, Vladimir Putin instructed:
- as an emergency, additional assistance to the affected enterprises to delay the payment of insurance contributions to social funds for six months;
- for small and medium-sized businesses defer for all taxes except VAT, also for the next six months. This debt is later restructured, that is, repaid smoothly (at least one year after the end of the deferral);
- the Russian Government and the Central Bank will prepare a program of additional business support within five days, which will help preserve employment and employee income.
