Two-month supply of food products is available in warehouses in Bashkiria - Bashkiria Ministry of Agriculture
There is a two-month supply of food products in the warehouses of Bashkortostan, and a six-month reserve has been formed for raw materials in the republic. In September-October, a new crop will be harvested. Residents should not be concerned, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture of Bashkortostan Ilshat Fazrakhmanov in response to journalists' questions during a press tour.
According to him, a certain surge in food purchases in stores was recorded last weekend, but on Monday, Tuesday, the shelves were full again. The authorities expect a new wave in purchases this weekend. However, peak food demand will not exceed 50% of traditional New Year's sales.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia instructed retailers so that food prices would not increase. Now the rates are being monitored, and the Prosecutor General's Office is also doing this.
Ilshat Fazrakhmanov said that now all regional ministries and departments of agriculture are constantly monitoring the situation, and there has not been much movement of products between the regions so far.
The Bashinform News Agency reported that representatives of large retail chains believed that consumption boom associated with the purchase of certain types of products would decline within 7-10 days.
