Bashkiria GRP exceeded 1.7 trillion rubles with increase of 2.6% in 2019

According to preliminary data, the key indicator of economic development in Bashkortostan - the gross regional product - exceeded 1.7 trillion rubles with an increase of 2.6% in 2019, the Ministry of Economic Development RB reported.

In terms of GRP, Bashkiria now occupies the tenth place in the country and the second among the regions of the Volga Federal District.

“Over the year, industrial production in the republic grew by 4.2%, the volume of construction work increased by 7.7%, compared with last year, ahead of the average Russian growth by 7.1 percentage points. Agricultural production increased by 2%, retail trade turnover - by 1.3%, ” the department reports.
