Volleyball Center is planned to be built in Kalininsky district of Ufa

The construction of a Volleyball Center in Ufa is scheduled to begin this year; it was announced at the “Construction Hour” session in the Government of Bashkiria. It will be located in the Kalininsky neighborhood of Ufa.

The Volleyball Center will accommodate a multi-functional gym with 5-thousand seat stands, training grounds, a hotel, a fitness club, trade, and recreation areas.

The facility itself should be ready by 2022, it was said earlier at an expanded meeting of the board of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy. According to the head of the department, Ruslan Khabibov, in 2021–2022, the Volleyball Center, the Wrestling Palace of Sports, and the Center for Gymnastics in Aurora Street will appear in Ufa. Federal funds in the amount of 450 million rubles were raised to finance the latter facility.

The Wrestling Center is planned to be built in the Glumilino neighborhood in Ufa. The project of the Ufa company Georekon was agreed with the Russian Wrestling Federation. The Wrestling Center will be located on a 4-hectare territory and include a gym with 3.3 thousand seat stands, training gyms, a medical rehabilitation unit, a hotel for 160 rooms, administrative and domestic premises, and a parking lot for 350 cars.

The total cost of the design and estimate documentation for the Wrestling Center amounted to about 62 million rubles, of which the Bashneft company allocated 50 million through the Social Targeted Programs Fund. In total, over 3.5 billion rubles have been earmarked for the construction of this facility in the republican budget for three years. Construction should begin in 2020, to be completed in 2022.
