Financing spring fieldwork will increase to 13.5 billion rubles in Bashkiria
This year, more than 13.5 billion rubles will be allocated for spring fieldwork in Bashkiria. This is 870 million rubles more than a year ago, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture RB Ilshat Fazrakhmanov said at a briefing session in the republican government.
According to him, the sown area in Bashkiria will be 3 million hectares this year, which is 4.5% more than last year.
“Of these, 2 million hectares are allocated for spring crops,” he added. “Due to the fact that industrial dairy projects are being commissioned, this year we have a growing forage base - up to 770 thousand hectares (+ 12% per year). It is planned to increase the cultivated area of vegetables and cucurbitaceous cultures in the region by one third, since we are not provided with these crops, and bring them to 77.5 thousand hectares”.
Besides, the agrarians of Bashkiria increased the area of winter crops. Last fall, about 400 thousand hectares were allotted for winter crops. This is 145 thousand hectares more than was sown in the fall of 2018.
“Out of 400 thousand hectares of winter crops, 175 thousand hectares are occupied by winter rye - this is 18% of all areas of the Russian Federation. 202 thousand hectares are allotted for winter wheat,” stated the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkiria.
Harvest of grain and leguminous crops this year is expected in the republic at the level of 3.450 million tons. By 2024, it is planned to increase it to 4 million tons.
