More than 6 thousand unemployed residents of Bashkiria mastered high-demand 170 professions for free

In 2019, almost 6.3 thousand unemployed residents of Bashkiria underwent free vocational training in the direction of the employment service, the Ministry of Labor of the region said.

Almost 71% of the unemployed have mastered over 170 professions in demand in the modern labor market. More than half or 60% of the number of trainees found work in a new job.

Besides, 546 women received additional professional skills in the direction of employment centers during maternity leave.

“The main indicators in the labor market were positively affected by the measures being taken in Bashkiria to promote employment within the framework of the main state program,” emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Family, Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Bashkiria Lenara Ivanova. Thus, in 2019, the implementation of measures for retraining and advanced training of specific categories of citizens within the framework of the national projects “Demography” and “Labor Productivity and Employment Support” began.

According to her, this year, due to the implementation of regional projects of “Demography,” “Labor Productivity and Employment Support” national projects, it is planned to retrain a total of more than 10 thousand people.

Of these, over 1.5 thousand people are 50 years old and older, about 1.3 thousand are women being in maternity leave, unemployed women with preschool children.

Also, for the current year, a pilot project is planned to increase the efficiency of the employment service in the Ordzhonikidzevsky neighborhood of Ufa, the Deputy Prime Minister added.

The national projects “Demography” and “Labor Productivity and Employment Support” were developed on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
