Large investment projects boosted milk production in Bashkiria

In Bashkiria, six districts in which large livestock investment projects are being implemented have provided a 2/3 increase in milk production in January-February, the Ministry of Agriculture reports. Since the beginning of the year, 102.3 thousand tons of milk have been received in agricultural enterprises and farms. This is 8 thousand tons more than last year.

The largest increase was observed in the Ermekeyevsky district, where more than 2 thousand tons of milk were produced – by 1.46 thousand tons more than last year's level. Farms of the Meleuzovsky and Chekmagushevsky districts (1.16 and 1.1 thousand tons) also significantly increased their figures.

The Chekmagushevsky district by a long shot lead in absolute terms - gross milk production today amounted to 9 thousand tons. Among the best are also Aurgazinsky (+832 tons), Ilishevsky (+660 tons) and Zianchurinsky (+538 tons) districts.

It was in these districts where large investment projects for dairy cattle breeding were implemented, the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkiria noted.
