Bashkiria overcomes “trillion mark” in wholesale trade turnover

The year 2019 was quite successful for the trading industry of Bashkiria, said the head of the State Committee for Trade RB Alexei Gusev.

“The wholesale trade turnover for the first time overcame the “trillion mark”- over 1.018 trillion rubles in total for 2019. The growth amounted to more than 12% to the level of 2018. According to this indicator, Bashkiria now occupies the fourth place in the Volga Federal District,” he said at a meeting of the board of the department.

Meanwhile, retail trade turnover in the region has grown by 1.3% over the same period and reached 931.5 billion rubles.

In terms of retail turnover, Bashkiria still retains second place in the Volga Federal District and is among the ten regions of Russia.

At the end of 2019, the consumer price index was 102.9%, which is lower than the average Russian level and significantly less than the level of 2018.

Today in the republic there are over 25 thousand retail outlets, 500 of which were opened last year.

The shopping mall Aquarin, the Planeta shopping mall in Ufa and the Construction BOOM shopping mall in Neftekamsk, the XL shopping gallery in Beloretsky district, the Zubovo auto show and roadside complex in Zhukovo, Ufa district, as well as two shopping malls in the Gafuri region are the largest of them.
