One of Bashkiria enterprises fell under US sanctions

The United States imposed sanctions against three Russian enterprises. According to the Zvezda TV channel, Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise, the military-industrial corporation “Scientific and Production Association of Mechanical Engineering” and the “Design Bureau of Instrument Engineering” fell under restrictive measures.

According to Washington, these enterprises violate US national laws on the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction against Iran, North Korea, and Syria.

Sanctions will last for two years, but they can be lifted or reduced by a decision of the Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Kumertau Aviation Production Enterprise (KumAPP) is a Soviet/Russian aircraft manufacturing enterprise located in the Bashkir city of Kumertau. The plant produces and repairs Ka-226 helicopters, as well as Ka-27, Ka-31, and Ka-32A11BC helicopters. The company is part of the Russian Helicopters holding.
