About one thousand cameras with face recognition are installed in Ufa

The Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, today, as part of his working trip, visited the Information and Communication Technology Center, which was established in 2012. Gennady Razumikin, Minister of Digital Development of Public Administration of Bashkortostan, showed the head of the region how the integrated system of intelligent video surveillance in Ufa worked, which was introduced on behalf of Radiy Khabirov.

Cameras allow recognizing faces. They have the functions of smoke and fire detectors, crowds, check-in, and parking cars on lawns, left objects. The center’s specialists displayed on a large screen and showed all these functions to the head of the region. The same system has already been installed at the public security center of the Ufa administration.

According to Arthur Sayfullin, deputy chief of police for the public order maintenance of the Ministry of Internal Affairs RB, including due to the installation of cameras, crime in the Inors neighborhood decreased by 20 percent in January alone.

The head of the Ufa administration Ulfat Mustafin said that the issue of installing cameras in the Sipaylovo neighborhood was being studied. It is also necessary to install such cameras in Vatan Park, where events are held with a large number of people and asked Radiy Khabirov for assistance in this matter. The Minister of Digital Development noted that it would be necessary to connect cameras to the system, which were installed in the yard as part of the Bashkir Yards program. In this regard, Radiy Khabirov noted that it would worth making minor adjustments to the program so that companies with necessary qualifications in this matter would be involved in the installation of cameras.
