Exporters number is growing in Bashkiria

Over the year, the number of exporters increased in Bashkiria by 12.6% and reached 911, according to the State Committee RB for Foreign Economic Relations, based on data from the Federal Customs Service.
Of these, representatives of small and medium-sized businesses increased by 12.1%. By the end of the year, there were 730 small and medium-sized business exporters in the region.
Last year, the economy of Bashkortostan retained an export-oriented nature, the department emphasized.
Thus, imports amounted to 0.74 billion dollars. The republic mainly imported mechanical engineering products - 61.9%, chemical products, and rubber - 18.1%, metals, and metal products - 7.3%, and food products, and raw materials - 4.3%.
“The year 2019 the leadership of the republic paid serious attention and rendered support to export activities”, added Ilgizar Sanyarov, spokesman for the State Committee for Foreign Economic Relations RB. “Regional projects for the development of export and export services were launched. For the first time among the regions of Russia, a support mechanism for non-primary non-energy exports was introduced to reimburse transportation costs from local budgets to local producers. This year it is planned to increase funding for this type of support to 80 million rubles, and also to begin subsidizing a part of the certification costs according to international standards. ”
As the Bashinform News Agency reported earlier, Bashkiria’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $ 4.88 billion last year, which is 10.9% less than in 2018. The export of the republic decreased by 7.3% compared to -9.5% in the Volga Federal District as a whole.
At the same time, the export of non-primary non-energy goods of Bashkortostan, compared to 2018, increased by 2.3% and reached $ 2.01 billion.
The top ten counterparty countries included China, Latvia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Malta, Finland, the Netherlands, India, Germany, Turkey. Trade with these countries amounted to 3.23 billion dollars. They account for 75% of the total republican foreign trade turnover.
