At the end of last year, Bashkiria took a leading position in the country in the export of turbo engines and gas turbines with a share in Russian exports of 32%, carbonates (46.3%) and polyvinyl chloride (14.1%), according to the State Committee for Foreign Economic Relations RB.
Besides, Bashkiria is currently the only region in Russia that produces Agidol phenolic antioxidants and terephthalic acid.
Meanwhile, export deliveries of non-metallic mineral raw materials from the republic increased by 66.3%, and ores - by 3.2 times last year.
“Export deliveries of copper increased by 35.5%, nickel - by 14.1 times, zinc - by 1.1 times, other basic metals - by 15.2 times in the commodity group “metals and metalware,” the spokesman of the Department Ilgizar Sanyarov reported. “As for the products of the chemical industry and rubber, in this product group, there is an increase in the export of pharmaceutical products by 1.2 times, paints and varnishes - by 1.7 times, cosmetics - by 2.2 times.”
The positive trend in the republic was also marked in the volumes of export deliveries of special mechanical equipment, wood, pulp, stone products, glue, plastic, and products from it.
Exports of food and food raw materials also increased. For example, export deliveries of meat products increased by 60.3%, dairy products - by 47%, eggs - 42%, legumes - 29 times, cereals - 5.3 times, flax seeds - 7.1 times, sunflower oil - 1.2 times, rapeseed oil - 28.5%.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, thanks to the implementation of the “International Cooperation and Export” national project last year, the export of non-primary non-energy goods of Bashkiria increased by 2.3% compared to 2018 and exceeded $ 2 billion.
In Russia as a whole, this indicator grew by 0.3% over the year; in the Volga Federal District, on the contrary, it decreased by 5.2%.
The main exports of Bashkiria are fuel and energy products (53.6%), engineering products (20.4%), chemical products and rubber (15.4%), food products and raw materials (2.7%), metals, and metalware (2.4%).
