Bashkiria exported agricultural products for 112 million dollars – by quarter more than planned

According to the Federal Customs Service, Bashkiria's agricultural products export totaled $ 112.2 million in 2019 against the planned $ 91 million.

In 2018, the republic exported agricultural products for $ 76 million. Cereal crops took the lion's share in the export structure.

"Last year, oil and fat products predominated - 44 percent," said Almaz Galimov, spokesman for the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkiria. "They were exported for almost $ 36 million by the region. This is $17.3 million more than in 2018. Also last year, the export of sugar and sugar products increased by $10.4 million. Meanwhile, grain exports fell by $19 million".

As previously stated by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republican Government Ilshat Fazrakhmanov, in 2020, Bashkiria plans to increase the volume of exported agricultural products to $ 115 million.

To date, a set of measures to develop exports is being implemented in Bashkiria. It includes preferential lending to export-oriented agricultural enterprises, subsidizing part of the cost of transporting products.

The measures now being taken in Bashkiria are carried out as part of the national project "International Cooperation and Export" developed on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
