It became known what specialists will be in demand at Yangan-Tau Geopark

The Yangan-Tau Geopark, which was the first in Russia to join the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network, is ready to employ young and talented specialists who want to work in one of the most beautiful places in Bashkiria. According to Alexey Teterin, the official representative of the geopark, biologists, archaeologists, ecologists, security inspectors, rescuers, and marketers are needed for the comprehensive development of Yangan-Tau. For visiting specialists, official housing is already being completed - a large five-story building.

"The management has an understanding that our large international project can be done only with a team of specialists," he said.

As we reported earlier, the Yangan-Tau Geopark is an open-air museum in the Salavatsky district of Bashkiria, the main exhibits of which are mountains, caves, geological sections, and minerals. The Mechetlinsky section is of greatest historical value - an open mountain, where on a section of more than ten meters one can see how the layers formed over 10 million years. The decision on Yangan-Tau's joining the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network has already been made. It will be officially announced in April 2020. The founder of the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network, Patrick McKeever, during a meeting with Radiy Khabirov, said that he first saw people working with such dedication for the first 19 years of his work in the network.

The mastermind behind the creation of Russia's first geopark is the director of the Yangan-Tau sanatorium Alfred Akbashev. In his interview, he said that for foreign tourists, such status was a marker, an indicator of quality and safety. For Bashkiria, it means advertising around the world through UNESCO, the development of international tourism, recognition, and increasing the investment attractiveness of the region. Over five years, the management of the geopark plans to increase tourist flow by three times.

The sanatorium's revenue doubled to 1.65 billion rubles (2018), net profit - from 53.2 million to 80.3 million rubles with Alfred Akbashev and his team. The value of net assets amounted to 2.73 billion rubles at the end of 2018.
