Reconstruction of Ufa greenhouse will require half billion rubles

UFA, 31 January 2020. /Bashinform News Agency, Sergey Nikolaev/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
A project for the comprehensive reconstruction of the Ufa Limonarium (Greenhouse) is being developed. Its director Farida Sadykova shared this information with the Bashinform News Agency.
The estimated cost of construction and installation works will be about 0.5 billion rubles to be allocated from the budget.
The equipment of the Limonarium has long been outdated and needs a comprehensive reconstruction. One of its main tasks is to increase the height of greenhouses to 15 meters, sufficient for the growth of most cultivated varieties, including banana and papaya. New greenhouses will be frame, with translucent roof covering made from the heat-efficient tempered tinted glass. Ventilated windows with electric drives for natural ventilation will be provided in the roof and vertical enclosing structures.
According to Farida Sadykova, works on the development of the reconstruction project, for which 12 million rubles were allocated, are nearing completion. After its approval and examination, the stage of construction and installation works will begin. They can be carried out only in the warm season, as the old glazing and the frame of the greenhouses will be dismantled.
The Ufa Limonarium was opened in 1990. Since then, practically no significant renovations have been carried out in it to expand and modernize the greenhouse economy, where 20-22 tons of citrus fruits are annually grown on an area of 1 hectare, and ongoing scientific selection work is carried out. Seven varieties of lemons are cultivated here commercially, and about 12 varieties are grown for genetic research. Also, about 500 species of tropical and subtropical woody, shrubby and herbaceous plants grow in greenhouses and the open area.
