Social payments and benefits will be indexed by 3% from February 1

Starting February 1, social payments and benefits will be indexed in Russia by 3%. The relevant decree of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection is submitted for coordination with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Development, Izvestia reported.
According to the publication, it relates to monthly payments to the Heroes of the Soviet Union, Heroes of the Russian Federation and the Full Cavaliers of the Order of Glory, Heroes of Socialist Labor, Heroes of the Labor of the Russian Federation and Full Cavaliers of the Order of Labor Glory. It also includes payments to veterans, compensation to the disabled for the maintenance and veterinary care of guide dogs, compensation and other payments to citizens exposed to radiation as a result of radiation accidents and nuclear tests, burial benefits, lump-sum payments to pregnant wives of conscripts and insurance payments.
Russian President Vladimir Putin, following his Address to the Federal Assembly, instructed the government to ensure the annual indexation of the maternity capital until 2026 and the allocation of money for the first child. This is stated in instructions published on the website of the President of Russia.
Also, Putin instructed to grant the right to maternity capital to families with the first child born (adopted) since January 1, 2020, while the amount of these funds should be 466 617 rubles, and in the case of a second child born in such families (adopted), the amount of payment increases by 150,000 rubles.
For families that have not yet received mother capital, when a second child appears in the family since January 2020, it will amount to 616 617 rubles. These orders must be executed by April 15, 2020.
