Milk production reached 735 thousand tons in Bashkiria

Last year, milk production in Bashkiria reached 735 thousand tons, meat - 403 thousand tons. Compared to 2018, milk production in the republic increased by 17 thousand tons, meat - by 3 thousand tons, according to the Ministry of Agriculture RB.

“The target indicators for milk and meat production in the republic have been met,” said Revner Baitullin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Bashkiria.

According to experts, government support contributed largely to increased production volumes.

“Last year alone, more than 1 billion rubles of state support from budgets of both levels were allocated for the development of dairy cattle breeding. Of these, 302.6 million rubles of subsidies were paid for milk sold for processing, 529.4 million rubles for the purchase of cattle breeding stock, another 192 million rubles for the purchase of milking parlors and installations, ”added Almaz Galimov, spokesman for the department.
