Passenger traffic growth from Ufa Airport amounted to 84 percent in two weeks of 2020

Over the two weeks of 2020, the air border of the Eurasian Economic Union at the customs post of Ufa airport of the Bashkortostan customs was crossed by more than 19.5 thousand passengers, which is 84% higher than for the same period of the last year, the press service of the department reports.

Over 100 aircraft have been registered - 62% more than in 2019.

According to the head of the customs post of Ufa Airport, Sergey Melnikov, the record increase in passenger traffic is due to the increased frequency of flights from Ufa International Airport to Dubai and Istanbul during the New Year holidays. Passenger traffic in these popular destinations grew 2.7 times.

He also noted that this surge is characteristic of the vacation period, and subsequently, the statistics will stabilize.

In 2019, 791 thousand 250 passengers passed through the Ufa Airport customs post (7.5% more than in 2018), 4,249 aircraft were registered (an increase of 2.2% compared to 2018), 942 administrative cases were filed ( relative to 2018 - 31.5%).
