Real wages will increase by 2.3 percent in Russia in 2020

The growth of real wages will make 2.3% in 2020, while the real disposable cash income of the population will increase by 1.5%.
It was announced by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection Maxim Topilin in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
“Salaries of the categories indicated in the presidential decrees of May 2012 will continue to be correlated with the average monthly income from labor activity in the region. With this indicator growing, the salary of these categories of state employees is also growing, ”the minister said.
The payroll fund for categories of employees of budgetary organizations in the spheres of education, health care, social services and culture that are not included in the May decree will also be indexed from October 1, 2020, by 3%, from October 1, 2021, and 2022 - by 4% annually.
In December, experts at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation predicted an increase in real wages by 2.5% in 2020.
According to their assessment, the most significant increase in salaries is expected in Chita, Tolyatti, Yaroslavl, Kazan, Khimki, Bryansk, Ufa, Naberezhnye Chelny, Voronezh, and Kostroma.
