Maternal capital is increased in Russia

In accordance with the amendments that entered into force on January 1, the amount of maternity capital was increased to 466 thousand 617 rubles, the press service of the Pension Fund reports.

Compared to last year, its sum increased by 13.6 thousand rubles or 3%. Indexing affected all families who had funds on the certificate at the end of last year, both in full and partial. According to the Pension Fund of Russia, this is 3.4 million Russian families.

Today, families can use maternity capital to improve housing conditions - purchase and construction of housing, reimbursement of expenses for constructed housing, education of children - payment of kindergarten, school or university services, monthly payments - for low-income families in which the second child appeared starting since 2018, the social adaptation of children with disabilities — the acquisition of specialized goods and an increase in mother’s pension — the transfer of maternity capital funds for the formation of pension savings.
