Direct flights are planned from Ufa to Italy and Asia

New flights to international destinations may be started from Ufa next year. The Chairman of the State Committee for Transport and Road Facilities Timur Mukhametyanov told this, RBC reports.

The head of the department said that currently, work was underway to evaluate passenger flows to Italy, Kazakhstan and Asian countries.

The Chairman of the state committee also noted the demand for direct flights with Austria.

“The average aircraft load does not lower the threshold by 70%. It seems that we scored a bull’s-eye here. This is the same direction that is in demand by residents of the republic and neighboring regions. Tourists from Tatarstan, Perm, Udmurtia fly through our airport to the European Union”, the head of the department explained.

Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that a direct flight to Yerevan will open from Ufa in 2020. A direct flight will open on March 30, 2020. Flights will be operated by Azimut Airlines. Departure from Ufa is planned on Mondays at 18.40 local time.
