Bashkiria is working on industrial park creation in Agidel

A visiting session of the working group on the city development was held in Agidel under the leadership of the chief of staff of the Head of Bashkiria, Alexander Sidyakin.

As Bashinform News Agency previously reported, one of the most important tasks was to increase the transport accessibility of the territory. Now the city is connected with the industrial zones of the republic only by roads; the reconstruction of the 45-kilometer railway line to Neftekamsk is required. The project cost is estimated at 318 million rubles. The republic plans to receive 75% of these funds from the federal budget, for which it is necessary to include the Agidel park in the targeted investment program. The application is now being considered at the federal center.

It is planned to locate the industrial park on 166 hectares of the former industrial and construction facilities of the Bashkir NPP, the Ministry of Economic Development reminded.

Agidel is a city at the confluence of the Bela and Kama rivers, in which until 1991, a nuclear power plant was built. Its industrial potential has remained undeveloped, the population has difficulties to find a job. About 15 thousand people now live in Agidel. The idea to create an industrial park here emerged in 2011, but the project was not implemented then.
