Bashkiria Transport State Committee announced projects that are being implemented until 2024

The State Committee for Transport and Roads of Bashkortostan named ten projects, which implementation should be completed by 2024:
- construction of two bridge crossings, in the alignment of Vorovsky and Internationatsionalnaya Streets in Ufa,
- commissioning of the departure highway - Salavat Yulaev Avenue;
- construction of the Eastern exit;
- expansion of the highway R-240 Ufa-Orenburg, with a length of 25.1 km on the bypass section of Sterlitamak;
- asphalting of 560 km of central streets with lighting in settlements within the framework of the “Rodnaya Ulitsa” project;
- construction of the Agidel freight river port with commissioning in 2026;
- updating the fleet of carriers;
- purchase of new buses for Bashavtotrans company;
- modernization of the southern railway bypass of Ufa;
- commissioning of terminal No. 3 with a capacity of 800 people per hour and the air-cargo complex of Ufa International Airport.
Project financing will come from territorial state purchase funds, federal and republican targeted investment programs, and extrabudgetary funds from transport organizations
The implementation of the "Transport System Development in the Republic of Bashkortostan" project initiative will allow by 2024:
- building 804 linear meters of bridges and bridge crossings on highways;
- increasing the volume of freight traffic, except for air, by 13%;
- increasing the volume of goods transported by air by 31.6%;
- increasing the number of passengers transported by this type of transport by 33%;
- carrying out annually at least 140 preventive measures on roads to detect the excess of the permissible weight of the cargo.
The transport system development in the Republic of Bashkortostan is aimed at ensuring the development and stable functioning of the road transport complex of the republic due to the increase in the length of the network of public roads that meet regulatory requirements.
