Bashkiria's foreign trade turnover exceeded $ 4 billion

According to the Federal Customs Service, the foreign trade turnover of Bashkiria amounted to $ 4.053 billion for ten months of this year. It is 12% less than in January-October 2018, the State Committee RB for Foreign Economic Relations informs.

At the same time, exports decreased by 8.5% and amounted to about 3.442 billion dollars. The volume of imports, compared with January-October last year, decreased by 27.9% and amounted to 611.6 million dollars.

The top ten counterparty countries included China, Latvia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Finland, the Netherlands, India, Germany, Turkey, Malta. The trade turnover of Bashkiria with these countries amounted to about 3.065 billion dollars or 75.6% of the republican foreign trade turnover.

In the region’s export structure, 52.6% were fuel and energy products. Another 22.1% was accounted for engineering products, 14.8% - for the chemical industry and rubber products, 2.5% - for metals and metalware, 2.1% - for food products, and raw materials.

78.6% of Bashkiria's exports were delivered to non-CIS countries, and 21.4% to CIS countries.

Engineering products accounted for 61.1% in the commodity structure of imports. The share of chemical industry products, rubber was 19.1%, metals, and metalware - 7.4%, food products, and raw materials - 3.9%, other goods - 8.5%, the department concluded.
