Sidewalks, lawns, lighting will appear in Bashkiria settlements during of Local Beautification Year

In Bashkiria, the authorities decided on a list of goals that should be realized in 2020, declared the Year of Local Beautification. At a briefing session in the Government, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Housing and Public Utilities Boris Belyaev announced four main areas: laying out lawns, arranging sidewalks, installing street lighting, installing fences, and generally bringing the settlements’ appearance to a single standard. The ministry is preparing a schedule for the implementation of the project.

“The task of the ministry is to indicate the parameters of work to the heads of municipalities as soon as possible,” said the Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov. “Everything should begin with a major cleaning of the territory. We should inspire the initiative of local people. They themselves must participate in this great work”.
