Agricultural products export will increase by 20% in Bashkiria in 2019 - Ministry of Agriculture

The agricultural products export of Bashkiria amounted to 108.9 million dollars for ten months of this year, the Ministry of Agriculture of the region reported.
The main share in the export structure is occupied by fat and oil products and grain crops - 42.4 and 24.5 percent, respectively.
According to the ministry, compared with January-October 2018, the export of grain crops decreased by half and amounted to 13.6 million dollars.
“After the introduction of international financial sanctions against Iran, the supply of barley to this country, which is the main importer of this crop, has significantly decreased,” the Deputy Minister of Agriculture Yuri Lysov said.
According to him, work on the development of export-oriented production has already been activated in Bashkiria. First of all, it regards the interaction of the authorities with potential exporters in the framework of attracting soft loans, conducting “Export Hour” sessions in the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as the implementation of infrastructure projects.
“The focus is made on investment projects to create processing industries. If now 40 projects with a total cost of 86.5 billion rubles are being implemented in the republic, then 17 of them are processing projects worth 12.1 billion rubles”, Yuri Lysov added.
Among these projects are the projects of RESA JSC Group of Companies to construct a rapeseed (linseed) oil plant with a capacity of 100 tons per day; Chishminskoye OJSC - to construct a plant for the vegetable oils packing in Chishmy; Davlekanovsky bakery plant No. 1 to create a feed mill and increase production capacity; Belebeyevsky Dairy Plant to perform comprehensive technical re-equipment of the enterprise ensuring milk processing up to 200 thousand tons per year.
“According to experts, in 2019, agricultural exports from Bashkiria will increase by 19.3 percent compared to 2018 - up to $ 91 million. It is planned that the share of grain in the total volume will be 25 percent, oil and fat products - more than 40 percent, ” Almaz Galimov, spokesman for the agrarian department marked. “The geography of deliveries is Latvia, Iran, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.”
