Ufa hit Top ten million-plus cities with greatest number of cars

Ufa took 10th place in the ranking of cities with a population of over one million people in terms of passenger cars. According to the "Avtostat" analytical agency, Samara has the greatest number of cars. With a car fleet of a little less than 400 thousand vehicles and a population of about 1.2 million people in this city, it has 344 cars per thousand inhabitants. That is, every third Samara resident is a car owner.

Krasnodar is in the second place (343 cars per thousand inhabitants), St. Petersburg is in the third, with 330 cars per 1000 inhabitants.

In Ufa, there are 288 cars per thousand people, while the car fleet has 324 thousand cars.

The national average of car availability is 306 units per thousand people. Two million-plus cities have a higher indicator - Voronezh, and Yekaterinburg (315 each). Kazan is the closest to this mark (305 vehicles), followed by Krasnoyarsk (296 vehicles). Moscow took only the eighth line of the rating. Despite the fact that it has the highest population and the largest car fleet in the country, the availability of cars per thousand people in the capital amounted to only 293 units.

The smallest number of cars per thousand inhabitants among Russian million-plus cities is in Rostov-on-Don (234 units).
