Passenger traffic volume at Ufa Airport exceeded historical maximum of previous years

The passenger flow of Ufa Airport amounted to 3.2 million passengers and exceeded last year's figures, the press service of Gostrans Bashkiria reports.

On November 24, the volume of passenger traffic of Ufa International Airport amounted to 3.2 million passengers, which exceeds the final figures of 2018.

The airport’s press service told the agency that this was also a historical record.

Earlier, Bashinform reported that passenger air traffic in Bashkiria was growing 40 times faster in 2019 than long-distance railway transport. Experts explained that due to the development of a competitive market, air tickets became comparable in price not only with the sleeping compartment fare but also with the open sleeping carriage fare with significantly higher comfort and shorter flight times.
