Kyrgyzstan declared readiness to expand cooperation with Bashkiria

The business delegation of Bashkortostan is now in Kyrgyzstan, which will continue its work there until November 29, the press service of the State Committee RB for Foreign Economic Relations informs.

The day before, representatives of the Bashkir business community met with the Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan, Sanjar Mukanbetov. Participants discussed the prospects for developing business ties between the two republics.

“Kyrgyzstan currently takes 18th place among the trading partners of Bashkortostan. The potential for cooperation is quite high, we expect an increase in trade between our republics, ”said Lena Izotova, deputy chairman of the State Committee for Foreign Economic Relations RB. She invited the Kyrgyz side to participate in the Ufa “Export Time” Forum in 2020.

In turn, the head of the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Sanjar Mukanbetov stated that the republic would be ready to expand cooperation in various sectors of the economy.

“Next year, we plan a return visit to Bashkortostan with the participation of our business circle representatives,” he added.

On the same day, representatives of the Bashkir enterprise “South Ural Weight Plant” presented automobile scales manufactured by the company to the Agency for Road, Water Transport, and Weight and Dimension Control at the Ministry of Transport and Roads of Kyrgyzstan.

The meeting with the head of the state administration - the Akim of the Issyk-Ata district of the Chui region Bayysh Kurmanov was fruitfully held. BashAktivKontrakt-plus LLC and the municipality agreed to establish a joint venture for the production and supply of seeds and agricultural machinery. Representatives of a brewery located in the area expressed their interest in purchasing raw materials for production.

Besides, Bashkir businessmen visited a number of companies. A meeting with the management of AY Holding took place, at which they presented their capabilities and manufactured products.

To date, 28 companies operate in Bashkiria with the participation of capital from Kyrgyzstan.

The turnover between the two republics for nine months of this year amounted to 35 million US dollars, including export - 34.6 million dollars.

Exports are mainly represented by fuel and energy products (47.0%), chemical products (20.3%), wood and pulp and paper products (17.5%), metals and products from them (7.7%).

Products worth $ 0.4 million were imported from Kyrgyzstan to Bashkiria. Import is represented by the supply of metals and products from them (40.0%), food products (38.9%) and engineering products (21.1%).
