It is planned to allocate 1.5 billion rubles for Ufa airport reconstruction

The reconstruction project of the Ufa International Airport was included in the Comprehensive Plan for the expansion and modernization of the main infrastructure.

Total, 27 projects of regional airports were included in the list. Thus, only the air hub of the Bashkir capital represents the Volga Federal District there, the press service of the Ufa airport reports.

The first stage of the airdrome reconstruction, providing for the modernization of taxiways and the expansion of the apron, is estimated at 1.5 billion rubles.

“The reconstruction is necessary to meet the pace of air transportation development,” explained Alexander Andreev, General Director of Ufa Airport. “The implementation of this project will allow us to cope with the growing load on the airfield at peak hours and increase the efficiency of the reconstructed part of the apron by 50% due to its adaptation to servicing the main types of aircraft flying to the Ufa airport”.

As Bashinform News Agency reported earlier, on November 24, the passenger traffic of Ufa International Airport amounted to 3.2 million passengers, which exceeds the final figures for 2018. The press service of the airport said that this was also a historical record.
