Radiy Khabirov announced ambitious project for Ufa historical center reconstruction

In the next five years, much work is to be done in the republic to accomplish the urban environment and public spaces. It has not only a practical purpose but also of great political importance, said the Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, speaking today at the republican forum "Urban Environment". He noted that special attention would be paid to Ufa. As the capital of the republic, it sets modern trends in the arrangement of public spaces. In 2020, the republic will continue ongoing work on landscaping yards and complex repair of entrance halls.

“Next year we have to repair 4,000 entrance halls and equip 400 yards. At the same time, it is necessary to take into account the mistakes of this year and improve these republican programs. We should study the experience of other regions, our yards should be modernized and meet the requirements of the 21st century,” said Radiy Khabirov.

He also informed that large, comfortable park spaces would be arranged in 20 large settlements, reconstruction of Pervomaisky and Kashkadan Parks, the Dubki Public Garden with the Dancing Cranes fountain would be completed in Ufa in 2020.

“Next year in Ufa, we will also begin a large, ambitious project to reconstruct the old historical center of the capital of Bashkortostan, which should transform this part of the city for the better,” the Head of Bashkortostan stated.
