Bashkiria Ecology Ministry plans to tax river soils extraction

Inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology of Bashkiria accrued damage for 206 million rubles and fines of 20 million rubles according to the results of inspections of the use of mineral resources. The results of the state supervision work were announced at a briefing session in the Government by the head of the department, Ural Iskandarov. In 2019, the Ministry of Environment increased the number of inspections six times.
The volume of unauthorized mining of useful minerals amounted to 382.8 thousand cubic meters, the damage was calculated in the amount of 73 million rubles; compensation will be recovered through the courts.
As a result of raids on the illegal extraction of sand and gravel, 17 offenders were discovered, they will have to pay 9.2 million rubles of fines.
167 violations of license agreements were identified: 63 licenses were suspended, 37 were canceled, and fines of 10.66 million rubles were issued.
14 files on the facts of illegal and unauthorized extraction of useful minerals were submitted to law enforcement agencies.
By law, the extraction and sale of soil and waste are not taxed, although often sand and gravel mixtures are often raised from the bottom. The department sent a proposal to the Federal Property Management Agency to accept on the balance of the state all materials extracted from the river bottom - then a tax on mining should be paid while their selling.
