Nearly two thousand families of Bashkiria bought apartments through housing saving program

Due to the implementation of the republican program of housing savings, about 1.8 thousand families improved their living conditions. About 200 more people took their savings for consumer needs, the Bashinform News Agency was informed in Gosstroy of Bashkiria.

The issuance of the first preferential mortgage loans to participants in the Bashkir housing savings program started in 2017.

Sberbank and Uralsib are the partner banks of this socially significant program.

“As for the current deposits participating in the program, Sberbank now accounts for more than 4.2 thousand of such deposits, Uralsib – for almost 3 thousand,” stated Anastasia Sablikova, spokeswoman for the Gosstroy of Bashkiria.

As Bashinform News Agency reported in July, starting this year, 235 million rubles will be allocated annually from the republican budget to implement the program.

For comparison: in 2018, 106 million rubles were allocated for the same purposes.

At the first stage, the housing savings program provides for the accumulation by citizens of funds on bank deposits for three to six years.

The second stage involves obtaining a mortgage loan at a low-interest rate of 6-7 percent per annum, a spokeswoman for the Gosstroy of Bashkiria recalled.

“At the same time, at the expense of the republican budget, participants in this program regularly receive subsidies in the amount of up to 30 percent of the amount of monthly funded contributions, but not more than 3 thousand rubles a month,” Anastasia Sablikova explained.

Since May 2019, program participants have an opportunity to obtain a mortgage loan at a rate of 5.5% per annum with a six-year accumulation term in one of the partner banks of the program.

The Housing Construction Savings Program has been launched in Bashkiria since 2014. The positive experience of the republic in stimulating the housing market has been noted at the federal level and has already been recommended by the Russian Ministry of Construction for implementation in other regions.
