Bashkiria won Grand Prix and silver medal at Russian Event Awards 2019

Tourism projects in Bashkortostan won the Grand Prix and silver medal of the Russian Event Awards in 2019. The victory went to the "Ethno-Folklore Festival "Sarmatian Heirs" project in the nomination "The best tourist event of a historical orientation". The employee of the Tourism Development Center of the Republic of Bashkortostan Aigul Utyaganova posted this on her Facebook page.
The Ishtugan Crayfish Fishing Festival project took second place in the nomination “The Best Tourism Event in the Field of Rural and Agricultural Tourism,” said the festival organizer Rina Greenberg.
As Bashinform News Agency reported earlier, in July this year the third unique “Ishtugan” crayfish fishing festival was held in Bashkiria. Such a festival is not held anywhere else in the world, according to the organizers. Therefore, people come to the Ishtugan campsite in the Meleuzovsky district of Bashkiria from Yaroslavl, Naberezhnye Chelny, Yekaterinburg and many other cities of Russia. This year there were also foreign participants, in particular, students from India. In total, more than five hundred participants came to the festival. In addition to catching crayfish, they could take part in 180 activities: master classes, quests, competitions.
According to the organizers of the National Event Tourism Award - Russian Event Awards, 217 projects from 51 regions of the country and two foreign projects from Belarus and Latvia took part in the final, which was held in Samara on November 15-17. More than 500 people came to present their projects. In total, 683 projects from 72 regions of the country were announced at the 2019 Russian Event Awards.
