Urozhay agricultural company launched feedlot for 1,500 bull-calves in Bashkiria

In the Aurgazinsky district, the “Urozhay” agricultural enterprise, known for its projects in dairy farming, also engaged in meat production. The other day, the farm launched a feed mill at the Sultanmuratovsky dairy farm. 1,500 bull-calves are located here. The plans include the construction of another feedlot for 3 thousand heads in the village of Ishly. Calves will be raised up to 600 kg in feedlots.

“Year-round feedlots on a feed of our own production are profitable since they do not require capital livestock buildings,” the Bashkiria Ministry of Agriculture representatives commented on.

The department reminded that the region has a program for the development of beef cattle breeding. Within five years, it is planned to increase livestock and poultry production in live weight up to 500 thousand tons.
