Bashkiria and Czech Republic plan tenfold increase in trade by 2024

Bashkiria and the Czech Republic plan to increase their foreign trade tenfold by 2024. Such goals were announced at a meeting of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan Andrei Nazarov and the delegation of the Czech Republic, led by the Czech Ambassador to the Russian Federation Vitezslav Pivonka. The diplomat already visited our republic in March this year and explained the next visit by the growing interest of Czech entrepreneurs in the Bashkir markets.
European businessmen presented a wide range of their projects, from digital technologies for urban and public utilities management to livestock breeding and the organization of theater and exhibition festivals.
Today, the Czech Republic occupies 34th place in Bashkortostan's foreign trade with a volume of just over $ 9.5 million. Exports and imports are mainly represented by deliveries of chemical and engineering products.
Bashkir Deputy Prime Minister noted the potential for cooperation in industry, tourism, and the transport sector. Andrei Nazarov believes that trade can be increased to $ 90 million by 2024. He proposed to conduct settlements in national currencies - rubles and korunas. Vitezslav Pivonka praised the proposal, having specified that this issue would require discussion at the Czech Ministry of Finance.
Today in Bashkiria there are five companies with Czech participation engaged in the construction, passenger transportation, mining of precious metal ores and sands, wholesale of computers, computer peripherals, and software.
