Bashkiria ranks first in Volga Federal District in issuing loans

In September of this year, banks credited 32.7 billion rubles to the population of Bashkiria. This is 9.9 billion rubles more than in January, RBC Ufa reports.

By the beginning of October, the republic’s borrowers owed banks 463.8 billion rubles. Overdue debt at the same time amounted to 18.6 billion or 4%.

In September, Bashkiria was the leader in the Volga Federal District, both in terms of lending (14.7% of the issuance in the Volga Federal District) and in terms of credit debt (14.9% of the total in the district).

Tatarstan (32.25 billion) and Samara Oblast (25.5 billion) were also among the three leaders in issuing loans to the population in the Volga Federal District. They took second and third place in terms of total debt - it was 451 billion in Tatarstan, 338.15 billion rubles in the Samara region.

And, on the contrary, the least loans were granted in Mordovia and Mari El, which total debt to banks is 70.5 billion and 62.2 billion rubles, respectively.

On average, the percentage of overdue debt in the Volga Federal District is 4.1% versus the all-Russian 4.4%.
