60% of roads comply with standards in Bashkiria - rating

In Bashkiria in 2018, 60% of public roads met the standards, it follows from the rating of the Russia Today television channel, based on data from Rosstat over the past few years. The evenness and durability of the roadway, the adhesion properties of the pavement, good visibility constitute the quality of the road.
The share of local roads (inside cities and towns) complied with standards decreased in the republic from 78.8% in 2007 to 60% in 2018.
The share of regional and inter-municipal roads that meet the standards (provided by the budget of the republic, municipality) remained at the same level: 55% in 2007 and 54.5% in 2018.
On the whole, the share of good roads increased from 23.5% in 2007 to 60% last year.
The highest percentage of "bad" roads was recorded in Bashkiria in 2015 - 46.2%.
In 2018, the greatest number of common public roads of regional or inter-municipal importance that meet regulatory requirements were in Moscow (97%), Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District (84.5%), Stavropol Territory (74.9%), Krasnoyarsk Territory, 4%) and Ingushetia (70.4%).
The regions where the roads were the least compliant last year include the Republic of Mari El (1.4%), Saratov Region (9.9%), Kalmykia (11.8%), Arkhangelsk (15.1%) and Magadan Regions (17%).
Total, last year in Russia 42.4% of all roads in this category corresponded to the standards. Over the past ten years, this figure has improved by 5% (in 2008 there were 37.8% of quality roads).
