Rosgeologiya specified reserves of large gold deposit in Bashkiria

JSC “Severo-Kavkazskoe PGO” (mining production association), a member of the state holding Rosgeologiya, has specified the reserves of copper-zinc gold-bearing ores in the central part of the South Podolsk ore occurrence in the Khaibullinsky district of Bashkiria, INTERFAX.RU reports.

As the experts found out, “the average thickness of the deposit is 10.6 m, the approximate size is 720 m by 930 m, the copper content in the rock is 0.92%, zinc - 2.82%. Earlier, Rosgeologiya specialists discovered a gold deposit with a thickness of 28.2 m with an average gold content of 4.2 g/t, while in some intervals, the gold content reached 10 g/t. “After localization of the gold ore interval, experts expect to evaluate the estimated gold resources in the amount of 28 tons. The gold ore interval of such gold content was identified for the first time in the 40-year history of the study of the South Podolsk ore occurrence, ” the report says. It is estimated that by the end of 2020, the resource potential of the deposit may increase to 36 tons of gold, the agency informs.
